Default i need advice

im trying to sketch out a run down kinda destroyed modern city anyone have advice?

Run down as in abandoned?

Just draw a normal city, then lop off parts of buildings, add wreckage here and there, and mute the colors so it looks more lifeless. Perhaps you can add parts that had cloth, like storefronts with awnings, and leave the cloth out, as if it had been destroyed/rotted away. Make it look unlived in - knock stuff over; leave fountains empty, that kind of thing. Leave a big empty street in the middle, perhaps; maybe a broken down car or two. Fallout can give some good ideas; you could look at screens of that.

That's my suggestion, anyway.

well im trying to do like modern day newyork but apocalyptic from the veiw from on top of a skyscraper and i usually dont do backrounds so its kinda difficult lol

you should def. check out I Am Legend(post human New York) for inspiration ummmmmmmm some modern warfare games also have decent backgrounds. OOOOOOHH and The Matrix i think had some decent scenes. cant think of anything else but you could check those out

k thanks ill check it out but its not really the whole what it looks like thing its the buildings look out of alignment and stuff when i draw it
